In collaboration with the local city government and cable television system, Union City High School established the K.I.S.S. (Kable Independent Study Seminar) program in 1972.  Since then, K.I.S.S. Communications has continuously provided Union City students with a vocational broadcasting learning opportunity through helping to produce live and recorded programming for KISS-TV, channel 5, in Union City... and more recently, for other sound and video streaming services via the world wide web.
